Not a big fan since the upside is too little, he only won 5 after all. But hey it worked so it looks nice, definitely good for him.

The gain might have been 13, or more if the opponents got their wires crossed about what double meant.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

True in general, but no chance of that against Cheek/Grue. Personally I often discuss this, preferring takeout of hearts but with showing spades being the alternative.
