3♥ showed support and a limited (11-12) or better hand. What's your bid over 5♦? Is your Pass forcing? If it were, would you pass? When you pass (forcing), what does double or 5 of your suit or 5 in a new suit mean?

I don't know if you mean this by responder or opener, but meanings are similar anyway:
Dbl = usually wasted hcps
5 of suit = enough playing strength to make it. Usually has a singleton.
5 new suit = slammish

I would double.
I have what I promised, but I have defensive tricks. I also have 3 diamonds. So I want partner to know that defending 5♦ (or 5♥, which I will also double) is fine with me.
If I had a singleton heart I would make a forcing pass of 5♥, but I would still double 5♦. For all that we know, partner also has 3 diamonds.

Easy pass whatever forcing or not. ♥9x & ♦5xx don't quite look like defensive tricks to me. RHO has announced at least 6-5.

Pass definitely isn't forcing.
I'll admit it's possible this will make but I double. Partner could have bid 4♣ over 3♥ but didn't, which makes me think we're probably not making 5♠ even if p's short in the reds.
Maybe pass is right.

If pass is forcing, it's clearly best with all our high cards in the black suits.
If pass in non-forcing, it's still right. We don't have any more defence than we promised, and we don't have enough extra offence to bid 5♠.
I think it's probably best to play pass as forcing, but I think the default agreement is that it isn't.

In my simple world, pass is forcing, because our first rule is that it is always forcing when we bid game w/O being forced to.
I would hate this agreement here, because I would like to show a non forcing pass, but I cannot.
Anyway, I pass and pray that partner will find the right solution.
