Scoring: MP

1H-(2C)-2S-(3C)
3NT-(P)-4D-(p)
4H-(p)-4S-All Pass
- -
You play 2S and 4D as forcing.
Should 4H be a control for D or a simple contract improvement?
How would you bid this hand?
- -
LHO leads a small for Q and Ace of RHO. What is the best play at MP's?
Is it best to play A, ruff with A??, K discarding the and play trumps?

I don't understand the 4 call. It should have shown a long strong heart suit which was the basis for the 3NT call.

As for the play at matchpoints, I would cash the AK of diamonds and ruff the third diamond with the A. Now you know if diamonds are breaking or not. Throw the heart on the top club. If diamonds did not break, ruff a heart and ruff a diamond. The opponent who is out of diamonds will ruff in. Now you make 11 tricks unless you are very unlucky.

If diamonds broke 12 tricks should be easy. Just play trump.

My auction would go:
1H--(2C)--2S--(3C)
P--(P)--3D--(P)
3S--(P)--4D--(P)
4S-- All pass.

I would have doubled 3 as north. Of course, South will not stand for it with 6-6, but I don't understand 3NT.

The suggested line look okayish to me, but since this is matchpoints, I am not so certain I would ruff with the spade ACE, protecting against 5-1 split with RHO seems not the percentage play despite the wild distirubtion in my hand. I would ruff low, cash club, ruff a heart, and ruff another diamond then with the ace.

That is actually how I played it, but I don't think it is correct.
You are now in dummy:
Scoring: MP

You will have to ruff to come back to hand and play trump. Opps can force you to ruff another trick after which one of them will have one more then you?
(Opps were not better then me and returned a iso forcing me to ruff and I could claim)
