The auction was simple and fast: 1NT 2NT 3NT all pass.
15-17 NT, invitation, accept.

My hand:
♠ 53 ♥ 98762 ♦ 9432 ♣ KT

I decided to lead a ♥, my problem was which one.
I tried the ♥8 (second from a bad suit), but the end result was not ideal. :(

I'd lead the 9 or the 6, any other heart is deceptive.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

If you elect to lead a heart (why not?), I cannot understand any lead except the 9.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

What heart you lead is simple - follow your agreements with your partner.

With my regular partner I lead the 8; 2nd from a bad holding. He'll know I've got a suit like T8xx/J8xx/T8xxx/98xxx, but not J9xxx or better.

With other partners I lead 6 if leading 4th, ♥2 if leading 3rd/5th.

However, if your agreements are different, I really cannot understand leading the 9. :D

We play 3rds and 5ths so the two is standard for us even from a bad suit.

I actually prefer 4ths against No Trumps but that is not our current agreement.
