Scoring: IMPs

you play leaping michaels

pass by north, 2 weak by east

3 (both minors or looking for a stopper)

3nt

4

Do you agree so far with the bidding ? does passing 3nt make sense ?

now what ?

pass ... partner 4 is forcing but...

5 The book bid

4 hope its not a cue bid
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

Prefer to open 3H and get this hand off my chest with one bid. Rather get in my bid first before the opp preempt or bid the heck out of the hand.

I would never open 3H on Axxxxxx holding QJxx of spades. I would bid 4H over 4C. Partner should pass. Since he pulled 3NT, he has shown both minors and I bid 4H anyway. I must have spades and hearts.

Alternatively, he can bid 4NT to play over 4H, but not 5 of a minor.

You showed minors and a good hand, why on hell would you reopen the bidding after partner makes a sensible decision?
