Bourke Relay after 1m-1X-2m:
Bidding first unbid suit is artificial and GF.
e.g: 1♦-1♠
2♦-2♥
Question:
What are the consequences of this? Do meaning of other bids change as well?
Eg:
- 1♦-1♠
2♦-3♣: Is this still GF?
- 1♦-1♠
2♦-2♥
2NT-3♦: This is slem interest?
- 1♦-1♠
2♦-3♥: Is this splinter for ♦ now or 5-5 or limit with 5-4?
Any comments or links to this highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Koen

Hi kgr
You might want to read the article in Esoterica 'TSAR' by Jeff Rubens at The Bridge World website. It is six pages long and very good.
A lot of meanings change after you adapt this style.
Regards,
Robert

In their book "Tournament Acol" (1995) David Bird and Tim Bourke define the three sequencs as follows:
1. Natural and game forcing - don't use the relay if a forcing natural bid can be used.
2. Game forcing, often slam interest.
3. 3 Hearts shows a singleton, agreeing diamonds.

I'm also a fan of "3rd suit GF" when using 2/1 non-forcing methods.
