You deal and open 1, LHO overcalls 1 and partner bids 2 forcing (RHO passes). What's your rebid?

2S. I really don't think 3N sums up what I have.

In this auction 3N does not show a hand nearly this strong, or suggest a trick taking hand based on clubs to me. Slam is easily in the picture and I'm going to create a GF.

If a 2N bid by me were played as forcing then everything changes, but I don't think many people play this way.

2. I think I'm a little too strong for 3NT.
A bit of blatant self-pimping - I've got a new poker book that's getting good reviews.

3NT. I really don't think 3N sums up what I have

But I also really, really doubt we have a slam here, so I'm just going to be pragamatic.

I also voted for 3NT, realizing that this is a serious underbid.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

2, this has to be forcing.
3NT is not forcing partner can pass and i don't need much to make 6.

those who bid 3NT lose a bucket of IMPs. For those bidding 2, partner now bids 2NT.

Indeed, I'll go with 3C. Very convenient of partner to bid 2N :P

Pard rebidding 2N is not just convenient, it's great

How about 4 now? It shows an autonomous suit (and as I play it is RKC)

My partner and I have decided that there must be separation among hand types after this 1-round force free bid so I would bid 2S to create a game force - partner may shock me with a 3C bid next. Hard to hear that over 3N.

And then he bids 3. Looks like this must be turned into a bridge soap, everyone eager to know what happens in the next episode :)

Scoring: MP

1 (1) 2
2 2NT
3 3
?

If I can bid 4 minorwood, that would be my choice. If I could bid 4NT regular BW, that would be okay too. If we're playing keycard it should be for hearts in this auction and I don't want to do that. I could go with a 4 cue but that suggests hearts as well. Or make a leap of faith and try 5NT. I'll end up going with 3 though. Hopefully partner will rebid 3NT and I can make a quant raise to 4NT.

4 over 2NT or now over 3 would be minorwood with my regular partners.
3 should still be forcing, showing some values, denying 's.
Partner should get an idea about my shape. Over his 3NT i will bid 5 and hope he gets the message.
